Building lasting relationships with indigenous people and recognising their unique circumstances, their cultural heritages and their rights is a foundation for incorporating their perspectives into the decision-making process for our projects.
Located in the Nordics, our projects may affect the Sámi population in Sweden, Norway and Finland and their traditional land use rights in Sapmi. For our current portfolio our projects Swan Lake in Sweden and Bidjovagge in Norway overlaps with the interests of the Sámi communities. By upholding ongoing dialogues with the Sámi communities, we strive to have agreements for cooperation, mitigation and compensation in place from exploration to rehabilitation.
